The inmate adds you to their list. You don't have to do anything but provide your name and address and show up for visitation. :)

An inmate can only make amendments to their visit list once every 6 months, and can only have 10 individuals on their list at any time. If the inmate has recently made an amendment to their list, or already has 10 people on their list, they will need to wait before they can make a change or remove one person and add another.
