Do you find mail coming out of Texas being fairly slow or fast?

Compared to other states I have penpals in, Texas is one of the faster states. Usually the letters take about a week, where in other states it can take up to three weeks before a letter ends up on my door mat.

Texas seems to be pretty fast, normally takes a week or less. The only time i've ever noticed mail being slow is around christmas time.

10 days is average for us, but hubby is at the biggest prison with 4000 inmates so more mail passes through the mailroom than it does at a unit with say 1000 inmates.
Things he sends out on holiday weekends often don't make it here at all.

Can I ask you is "Hubby" is a real word or a surname for your guy? Because I didn't know that term before I read you. Or maybe is it a "prison word"?

DreamFae has it correct, he is my husband (legally in Texas) but it is not wise to use anyone's real name online in situations like this, so "Hubby" is what I refer to him as

I'm in Denmark, and the letters from Tennessee Colony usually take 5-7 days. But there have been a couple of my letters that have taken weeks to go the other way; and one or two may be missing. I had to resend one in March
